What an experience. Loved the service from the transfer from the airport for the entire stay. Food and service was outstanding. Our drive from the airport to the hotel was notable we saw elephants and buffalo. During our stay at the Makumu we saw rhino, elephants , giraffe, buffalo, lioness, and her beautiful three cubs, various bucks, birdlife. Highlight for me was seeing a Leopard twice. Makumu lived up to all our expectations, having read previous reviews. They have built a magical experience for people interested in an in-depth safari; rangers Reinhard and Ruan, as well as spotters Ridwell and NY (Ntiyiso) were superb in guiding us through the preserve, explaining their methods of tracking the animals, and how to interpret other signs present all around us.
